The Sephora here is opening on October 7th! I absolutely cannot wait. HOWEVER, I want you guys to recommend to me your favorite products from Sephora! I’m making a list of things I need to have on my first trip. Post your suggestions, with links to the Sephora pages too would be great. <3

I came up with this recipe this summer and I absolutely LOVE it! It’s not oily or greasy and it great for hot weather. So fast and easy to make, only 3 ingredients are needed. I tend to only make about 3-5 days worth at a time. This is great because the aloe is great healer and moisturizer for the skin, the vitamin E is an anti-oxidant and the tea tree helps keep skin clear and fresh during the hot summer months.

Ingredients:

  • Pure aloe vera gel, no coloring added (This can be hard to find as most aloe gels are tinted green. I happened upon a brand that bottles just 100% pure aloe, at my healthfood store)
  • Vitamin E oil (You can use the little capsules, or you can also get Vitamin E bottles by itself)
  • Tea tree oil
How to make it:
  1. Quite honestly, I just eyeball this recipe but I’ll try to simplify.
  2. Put 4 parts aloe into a small container.
  3. Add 1 part vit E.
  4. Next add 1-2 drops of tea tree oil.
  5. Mix well. It should look slightly creamy.
  6. Apply after toner, morning and night if you desire.
Enjoy!

I recently picked up the Clear Prep Fx primer, Conceal Fx concealer, and Powder Fx foundation from Cover Fx.

Let’s start with the primer. It’s meant to keep your skin matte as well as create a smooth base for your make-up. It also has salicylic acid in it, which is one of my favorite features. It will help to keep your skin clear, especially in the hot summer months. I do wish it would keep my skin a little more matte, I tend to get oily in the t-zone after about an hour or two. Rating: 3/5

The concealer is also lovely, medium to full coverage. It has a nice creamy consistency. Great for under the eyes, around the nose and to cover any imperfections. Rating: 4/5

Lastly the powder foundation. I cannot wear liquid foundations in the summer. It is much to humid and anything liquid will melt off my face. I bought this after the salesperson recommended it and I am so thrilled! It has a medium coverage and sits lovely on the face. Works well with Fix+, I prefer to set my powder with a light mist. Rating: 4/5

Overall I am extremely impressed with all of the Cover Fx products I have tried and can’t wait to try more. I highly reccommend you try them!

New home!

My first attempt at editing a video! Filmed this using my Blackberry again, it can be tricking trying to hole the camera AND be pouring/mixing and trying to measure. :P
